Ramghat is famous for "Kumbh Mela". The Ujjain city is located on the eastern bank of the Kshipra River. The Ujjain is an ancient city of central India, in the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.

Kumbhmela is held in every 12 years at Ujjain. During the Kumbhmela lakhs of merit-seekers flock the city from each and every corner of the world and from all over India. Ramghat is the highest engaged ghat for bathing of devotees.

The Kshipra (Shipra) is a River in Madhya Pradesh. Origin of river Kshipra is Vindhya Range north of Dhar and flows north across the Malwa Plateau to join the Chambal River.
Several ghats have developed at riverside and Ramghat is one of them. There are hundreds of shrines along the banks of river Shipra. Salil, holy Shipra River is a perennial river. Earlier there used to be plenty of water in the river. Now the river stops flowing a couple of month after monsoon.

Family comes here and do picnic. We will find lots of stalls of foods and drinks.
People also enjoy Shipra Aarti in evening on Ramghat.
Recently I read somewhere that River Shipra is linking with River Narmada.
You can see snakes and tortoise also in the river.
